Meet Dr. William Breckwoldt
Dr. William Breckwoldt has been at Middlesex Surgical Associated for over 20 years. He received Bachelor’s and medical degree from the University of Michigan and completed his general surgical training at Tufts Medical Center and his general vascular fellowship at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. He is board certified in General Surgery and General Vascular Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He serves as the Chief of Vascular Surgery at Winchester Hospital and as medical director for both the Vascular Noninvasive Laboratory and the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center at Winchester Hospital. He also holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Tufts Medical School and has received numerous teaching awards from Tufts Medical School and Tufts Medical Center. He has been recognized as a U.S. News and World Report/Castle Connolly top doctor in 2012 and 2013.
Dr. Breckwoldt’s interests within Vascular Surgery includes carotid artery surgery, open and endovascular surgery of abdominal aortic aneurysm, complex wound care, vein surgery and treatment of varicose veins, thoracic outlet syndrome, management of peripheral arterial disease (PAD), vascular ultrasound, and dialysis access.
